Apple Valley Freedom Days Parade

Monday, July 4th

Valley Lake Girl Scouts will be participating in the AV Freedom Days Parade again this year. Girls are invited to join their sister scouts in riding on the VLSU float/truck where they will be singing songs and waving to spectators.

Adult volunteers will walk beside the truck and toss out candy.

Time: Check-in 11:15-12:30 Parade begins at 1pm

Meeting location: near Pennock Ave and Whitney Dr. 

park at Cedar Park Elementary school and walk over to space #36

​​Caddies/Older girls needed to lead songs, carry GS banner, and be a color guard (over 12 years old).​

WEAR: Sash/Vest, Girl Scout shirt if you have one (GS camp shirts work!)
BRING: WATER (with lots of ice!), sunscreen, towel/blanket to sit on, and hat/sunglasses. More non-melty candy if you have it

Girl Scout Night at the St. Paul Saints Game

Friday, August 19th

Early Birders, it’s game time: Kick off your upcoming Girl Scout year by cheering on our local minor league baseball team, the St. Paul Saints! Each $25 ticket includes General Admission seating, an exclusive bandana and patch, and a Ball Park Picnic

*Please note: Each Girl Scout must have a new or renewed 2023 membership to participate in this event.
