Upcoming Service Unit Events

  Monday, February 20 (2 sessions - 9:30 session now CLOSED): OR Noon-2:00p OR 2:30-4:30p. Valley Lake's Community Service day will once again be at Feed My Starving Children in Eagan. We have reserved space for up to 185 volunteers. Third-graders and older are welcome. Please contact Kari Suter to sign up.

  Don't miss VLSU's annual Cookie Rally @ Cedar Park Elementary Friday, February 3, 6:30-8:30pm. Troop 51472 is sponsoring this always-a-fun-time event; contact Troop Leader Carry Langseth with any questions. Just $5/girl (patch included). Valley Adventures Daycamp 2012 at Sacajawea

Valley Adventures Daycamp proudly announces A Century of Scouting - A Tradition with A Future: June 18-22, 2012. Girls entering grades 1 thru 6 are welcome and must be registered Girl Scouts. Community Events for Girl Scouts

  Campfire Cooking Cookbook - Rachael of Rosemount Troop 51836 invites you to purchase this handy cookbook of favorite outdoor recipes! Rachael has put this together as part of her Silver Award project and is also hosting a food drive. For more info, click here to see her flyer.

  Pillowcase Project - Girl Scout Troop 51836 is collecting fabric donations for their Silver Award Project to make pillowcases. They will be used by a local non-profit organization, Moms and Neighbors. For more info, please click here. If you have any questions or would like to donate, please contact Amber.

Calling all Leaders!

Valley Lake Leader meetings are held the first Thursday of each month @ 6:30pm.
Our next meeting is: Thursday, February 2.

Join us each month--all Troop leaders are encouraged to attend. You will discover leadership opportunities for girls, find fresh ideas for your troop, learn about new Service Unit events, & get the latest scoop - many exciting events are being planned regularly.

Don't forget to bring your own ideas, comments & suggestions. If there is a topic you'd like to include on the meeting agenda, just contact Gigi, our SU Coordinator, in advance. Your input may be a great help to other leaders.

We meet (usually) the first Thursday of each month (September - May) at the Timbers (Pennock & 140th) in the Chapel area (thru front doors to back of main floor). Sign-in required for all attendees.

Leaders - if you cannot attend, please BE SURE to send a troop/parent representative.

Bring your girls to a leaders' meeting to hold a flag ceremony, discuss their recent service project(s), or teach everyone a new song! • This Web Site - It's always available and it's updated OFTEN. Make sure to check frequently for up-to-date announcements, & to find flyers & registration for MANY troop activities/events throughout the year.
• Leader's Meetings - Held the first Thursday (usually) of each month, Sept. through May, at the Timbers (Pennock & 140th, Apple Valley). Meetings begin at 6:30pm. Leader meetings are a great way to meet and learn from other leaders in our area, ask questions, get answers first-hand.
