Girl Scouts, You Made A Difference!
You've done it again - Black Cat Ball attendees donated over 167 pounds of food October 25 for the Eagan Resource Center food shelf - THANK YOU! Dozens of coats, hats, mittens and scarves were also collected for the Coats for Kids program. These much-needed and appreciated winter items were delivered to the Salvation Army via Easter Lutheran Church in Eagan and will be distributed to children in need in the southern metro. Passport to Adventure, Friday & Saturday, December 13 & 14: Want something fabulous to do on Friday the 13th? Xcel Energy Center's Girl Scout special for Disney on Ice is back again this year! Ticket includes commemorative patch; plus Friday night admission includes post-show event clinic, featuring Disney-on-Ice skaters as they share behind-the-scenes insights. Wow! (Saturday night's ticket includes meeting 2013 Miss Minnesota's 'Outstanding Teen' Corrina Swiggum - 5:30-6:30pm). Complete event details will be sent with your ticket purchase. Here is the link! Ready for a Brand New Adventure? Perfect for a troop outing, Wolves, Woods & Wildlife is located just off Dodd Road & 235th Str W (1 mile from Cty 70, Lakeville). Wolves Woods & Wildlife is exciting & educational, and will help you earn your Habitat badge. Visitors will enjoy up-close encounters with a large variety of northern wildlife, including: foxes, cougars, bobcats, wolves, skunks, goats, and more! For just $7.50/person admission, you can visit a toasty bonfire, enjoy free cocoa & popcorn, plus shop at the mini-trading posts, all in addition to a full guided tour!

Course #4639: Saturday, January 11 (2-4pm) - Brownies-Hiker (ages 6-9) Learn how to prep for a hike & read a map, then take a hike with a naturalist to earn your Hiker Badge.
Course #4641: Saturday, March 8 (2-4pm) - Juniors-Geocacher (ages 8-11) Learn how to use a GPS unit and find geocaches in our park, while earning your Geocacher Badge.
Namaste.  It's time for Yoga! Registered Yoga Instructor Jennifer Holzer is excited to announce an offer for Girl Scouts (4th grade & older) to try a yoga class at her new 3-in-1 Yoga studio in Lakeville. Groups of 5 to 6 can be accommodated at her home; or she is willing to travel to your designated (space-allowing) troop location to teach her 50-minute class. Class fee is just $30 for any number of participants. Leaders, please contact Jennifer at (952) 431-8892, to make arrangements ahead of time. Girls should dress in comfortable clothing and bring their own yoga mat (she has a few extras, if needed).

- Leader Meetings - Held the first Thursday (usually) of each month, Sept. through May, at the Timbers (Pennock & 140th, Apple Valley). Meetings begin at 6:30pm. Leader meetings are a great way to meet and learn from other leaders in our area, ask questions, get answers first-hand.
