The Valley Lake Service Unit is run by a group of dedicated volunteers filling vital Service Unit Team positions. A strong Team means a strong Girl Scouting program. Please consider getting more involved in the direction of our Service Unit. Most positions are managed by 1 to 2 (or possibly more) volunteers to take advantage of individuals' variety of skills.

Ask your troop parents (dads, too!) to c'mon and join the fun. Our volunteers know that getting involved is not only rewarding, but a great opportunity to experience Girl Scouting beyond the troop level. This is YOUR Service Unit. Be a part of making it great!

Our list of all the Service Unit Team positions is on the Contact Us page. If you are interested in helping out in an area already assigned to a volunteer, please do contact that volunteer anyway. There is always room for more ideas and hands to help us execute the best program we possibly can. Thanks for your consideration!

We also are always looking for volunteers from the community (college-aged to elders) who have a special skill or story to share. Perhaps you know someone who could talk to girls about life in Apple Valley many years ago, or a young adult who can talk to middle/high-school aged Girl Scouts about how she made it into and through college. There are many inspiring people all around us - we just need to ask them to share with the girls of a troop, and enrich those young lives in countless ways.
